Anyone that needs a bit of spare cash will like this, my personal favorite,Toluna. Toluna is a worldwide survey community which is owned and operated by market research powerhouse, Toluna Group. It has millions of survey members who participate in a variety of market research opportunities and influence the future of the biggest brands worldwide! Today, they are a global community that has over 10 million members. One of them could be you. JOIN TOLUNA HERE

There is so much ways to earn points for rewards from taking surveys to doing product testing, there is so much more to get involved with in the Toluna Community. Other ways to get points beside survey is listed below:
  • Mini Polls: participate in sponsored mini polls, a system of yes or no questions that last around 15 minutes (100 points)
  • Friend Referrals: if your're enjoying the Toluna experience, refer your friends and let them join in on the fun (500 points each)
  • Battles: give your opinions in a battle of products or subjects
  • Thumb It: let other members give a thumbs up or thumbs down on any topic you want to discuss

Rewards Process

Toluna rewards minimum of $5 (R100) which is not bad considering there are many ways to rake up the points. To be rewarded you need to reach 20 000 points. The number of points will vary per survey and is based on things like the length and complexity of the survey. That said, successful survey completions can award anywhere from 15 - 20,000 points each. Toluna states on their website that it can take up to 8 weeks for delivery of rewards after they've been requested. However, many members seem to receive virtual gift cards and PayPal payments within a couple weeks of request. Below is my earning history.

Method of payment:

Recommended method of payment is PayPal. Here is an example

Download the Toluna App

You can also download the app to take surveys on the phone, depends on you but I prefer pc. You can access your profile from anywhere and stay up to date on the hottest research opportunities. The Toluna app offers features like snapping photos while on the go and easily creating quick polls. Download from Google Play or The App Store.

PrizeRebel is a free GPT (get-paid-to) rewards website where members are rewarded for completing tasks and activities in exchange for gift cards, cash, and merchandise. One of my favorite survey sites. I have been a member since 2017.
Easy to get paid. Has many ways to earn credits, I haven't had any issues outside of the norm from other GPT/survey sites.I never had an issue with reward claims and get credited for 90% of the surveys I complete. PrizeRebel offers a wide variety of rewards. Both electronic and physical gift cards are offered from retailers and brands such as Amazon, eBay, Starbucks, Target, and more.

The rewards catalog will list whether a gift card is electronic or will be shipped. PrizeRebel has been around since 2007 and has over 7 million members. It has awarded more than $12 million to its members and has over 148k fans on Facebook. Promo codes for bonus points are regularly posted on their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

According to SurveyPolice Prize Rebel works like this:
  • Fill out offers – complete offers such as signing up for trials, joining mailing lists, etc., in exchange for points.
  • Take surveys – take online surveys and get rewarded for your opinions. Daily surveys are available via the following survey routers: Your Surveys, Samplicious Surveys, Cint Daily Surveys, OxSample Router, Precision Sample Surveys, Tap Research Surveys and more.
  • Watch videos – watch short videos and earn points.
  • Complete tasks – complete simple online tasks such as doing internet searches, and watch your account balance grow.
  • Collect daily points – in your PrizeRebel account will be a daily points page which will list opportunities for tasks that can be completed up to 20x a day. This is an easy way to accumulate extra points.
  • Participate in contests and games – earn bonus earnings by participating in contests, raffles, and things like the Lucky Numbers Game.
  • Referrals – Earn between 20-30% of what your referrals earn, excluding promo codes, contest winnings, and their own referral earnings. The percentage is based on your account level.
Account Level Extras – Unlock more account benefits as you accumulate more points. Account level points are based on regular tasks and activities, including your referrals’ earnings. Reach the gold level or above and automatically receive rewards claim codes if they are in stock. The tiers are as follows: Silver – 1000 points, Gold – 3000 points, Platinum – 7000 points, and Diamond – 12,000 points

Answered Insight is personally one of the legit survey site in South Africa, Cashing out has always been easy. There is a nice big cash out button on their website, the first time you cash out you just enter your banking details and they transfer into your account within 5 days. The next time you cash out your banking details are in their system so you just click cash out. It is clear from the survey questions that these are real surveys sent in by real companies in South Africa. It has been very rare that I have not been aware of the brands in the surveys.

Anyone that needs a bit of spare cash will like this. Although you really can’t earn much I have often forgotten about it and my points have built up nicely. A few times when it has been a painful money month I have remembered I have points owing to me and cashed out about R1000 which really did help me out.

Pros:
  • Legit Company
  • Paid Cash (as opposed to vouchers)
  • User Friendly and Simple
  • Honest Work
Cons:
  • R20 a survey is pocket money and will not pay the bills
  • Few surveys received
  • You need to respond to the survey request quite fast. They only need a certain number of people for each survey and if you take too long the quota is full already
  • Their website can be slow to load at times which is annoying
